Isa L. Furr, known by almost everyone as "Fuzzy" Furr, and a barber in Veedersburg practically his entire life, died Sat. afternoon at 3 pm. at Culver Hospital. He was taken tot he hospital the night before when his condition became ciritical. He had been seriously ill at his home in Veedersburg for many months and had retired from barbering in May 1953. Fuzzy was a progressive businessman and was one of Veedersburg's best known man. He was the eldest s/o Jacob and Maqry Kerr Furr and was born July 17, 1880 on a farm SW of Hillsboro. The family moved to Veedersburg and Fuzzy learned the barber trade from his father. He was married June 22, 1904 to Anna M. Lowe. While living in Hillsboro he became a member of the Christian Church. Suriviving is the wife, Anna, the mother, Mrs. Mollie Furr; a brother, Freeman; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Sutton of Danville and 3 sons, Dale at home; Cash of Crawfordsville and Lt. Glenn C. Furr on leave from Korea and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two children, Paul and Wreatha. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Fishero Funeral home with Rev. JS Pitchard & Richard Owen officiating. Burial in Rockfield Cemetery.
